Frequently Asked Questions FAQS

⚠️ All products sold by Peptide Minds are for laboratory research use only. They are not for human or animal consumption and are not approved by the FDA for any clinical, therapeutic, diagnostic, cosmetic, or dietary application. Nothing on this page is medical advice.

About Our Products

What does Peptide Minds sell?

Peptide Minds supplies research-grade synthetic peptides, small-molecule research compounds, and sterile reconstitution solution for use by qualified laboratories. Our catalog is intended for in vitro studies, receptor and enzyme assays, analytical method development, and preclinical model systems.

What does “Research Use Only” (RUO) mean?

RUO designates chemical reagents intended solely for laboratory research. RUO materials are not drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices. They have not been evaluated by the FDA, carry no approved use, and must not be administered to humans or animals.

Are your products FDA-approved?

No. Our products are research chemicals and are not approved by the FDA or any other regulatory body for human or veterinary use. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Are your product names the same as pharmaceutical products?

No. Our product names are internal catalog identifiers used by Peptide Minds. They should not be equated with any approved or investigational drug product, and they are not pharmaceutical products. Our materials are manufactured under GMP-compliant processes and are third-party tested, but this does not make them drugs or approved for any human or animal use.

Do you provide dosing, administration, or usage instructions?

No. Because our products are not intended for use in humans or animals, we do not provide and cannot provide dosing, administration, or protocol guidance. Product pages describe chemical identity, specifications, storage, and published research areas only.

Can you tell me which product is “best” for a particular outcome?

No. We do not make efficacy, safety, or outcome claims for any product. Researchers should consult the peer-reviewed literature and their institutional guidelines when selecting reagents for an experimental design.

Quality & Testing

How is purity verified?

Every lot is tested by an independent third-party laboratory using HPLC for purity and mass spectrometry for identity confirmation. Endotoxin testing is performed where applicable. Certificates of Analysis are linked on each product page.

What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A COA is the third-party lab report for a specific lot. It documents peptide identity, purity percentage, and, where applicable, endotoxin results. It is proof of the material’s specifications, not a statement about any biological use.

Why are products supplied as lyophilized powder?

Lyophilization (freeze-drying) improves long-term stability, reduces degradation during storage and transport, and allows the researcher to prepare solutions at the concentration their protocol requires.

How should products be stored?

Store lyophilized vials at −20 °C, protected from light and moisture. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening. Follow your laboratory’s stability protocols for reconstituted material and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.

What is the Reconstitution Solution?

A sterile, filtered laboratory diluent used to dissolve lyophilized peptides for in vitro work. It is a laboratory reagent and is not intended for injection or any human or animal use.

Ordering & Shipping

Who can purchase from Peptide Minds?

Purchasers must be 21 or older and must agree to our Terms & Conditions, which require that products be used only for laboratory research by qualified personnel. By ordering, you confirm you are purchasing for research purposes.

How are orders shipped?

Orders ship from the United States in discreet, insulated packaging. Tracking is provided by email. See our Shipping Policy for carriers and transit times.

Do you ship internationally?

Please contact us before placing an international order. The purchaser is responsible for confirming that importation of research chemicals is permitted in their jurisdiction.

What is your return policy?

Because our products are temperature-sensitive research reagents, all sales are final. If a shipment arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours with photos and your order number. See our Return & Refund Policy for details.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?

Yes, for verified laboratories and research organizations. Contact us with your requirements and institutional details.

Compliance

Is it legal to purchase research peptides?

Research chemicals may be lawfully purchased for laboratory research in most jurisdictions. Laws vary; the purchaser is responsible for complying with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

What are my responsibilities as a purchaser?

You agree to use products solely for laboratory research, to ensure handling only by trained personnel, to follow applicable safety and disposal regulations, and not to administer any product to humans or animals. Misuse voids all warranties and violates our Terms & Conditions.

Can I contact you with product questions?

Yes. We can answer questions about specifications, COAs, storage, shipping, and ordering. We cannot answer questions about administration, dosing, personal use, or expected effects.

Have a question not covered here? Contact us with your order number or the product and lot you are asking about. We answer questions about specifications, COAs, storage, shipping, and ordering only.
